Troubleshooting
Fixes for the most common problems.
| What you see | Try this |
|---|---|
| The computer will not boot from the USB stick. | Turn Secure Boot off. Try the other partition scheme in Rufus (GPT for UEFI, MBR for BIOS). Re-write the stick in DD Image mode. |
| The USB stick is not in the boot menu. | Enable USB boot, and Legacy or CSM boot on older machines, in the firmware settings. |
| QEMU opens and shows nothing. | Add -nographic and read the output in your terminal, or add -serial stdio. |
| QEMU restarts in a loop. | Try -smp 1 first, then raise the core count. Make sure you gave it at least -m 512M. |
| QEMU says it cannot find durgx.iso. | Run the command from the folder that contains the file, or give the full path. |
| QEMU is very slow. | On Linux add -enable-kvm. Close other heavy programs. |
| The file seems damaged. | Check the size (about 4.2 MB). Download it again. |
